About Chaunte Wayans
Following in the footsteps of her legendary family the Wayans, Chaunte' Wayans realized she had a gift and a calling … stand-up comedy. For more than ten years, Chaunte' Wayans has been crafting her powerful comedy stage presence merely by living her life. She uses her stand up to take you into her life of alcohol and drug addiction, and her firsthand experiences of dating women. She even gives the men some insight as she describes how she relates to men about their relationships with women. Funny is definitely in her lineage but her story and style are all her own.
Chaunte' has been bringing the funny for over a decade but she has recently been thrown in the spotlight with major appearances and tours. She has toured with Katt Williams, as well as being featured on the Hot 97.1 2012 and the recent 2014 April Fools show at Madison Square Garden alongside J.B. Smoove, Michael Blackson, Cocoa Brown, and Tracy Morgan. She had a breakout appearance on Bounce TV's "Off the Chain" with host Rodney Perry and performed April fool's 2013 at the NYCB Theater at Westbury with Bill Bellamy and Gary Owens hosted by Rip Michaels with DJ Kid Capri and Charlamagne from the Breakfast Club. Chaunte' travels with the Wayans Bros when she's not touring she holds her own pound for hilarious pound when performing shows like her recently hosted show at the San Manuel casino in California with Charlie Murphy, David Alan Grier and the Wayans bros as the headliners. Currently she has started touring on her own tour called the Unknown Wayans Tour, which is scheduled throughout the U.S.
The best is yet to come for this edgy and engaging comedienne, just last summer she made her debut in an arena that her family broke ground in over 20 years ago, sketch comedy. Chaunte' is one of the new members on the revamped Wild n Out on MTV2 with Nick Cannon and has since featured in The Curve Magaizine, After Ellen, and BeMagazine. Her timing, delivery, and forward thinking are what make Chaunte' Wayans unique on the comedy scene and with the world as her stage, laughter will be in every line of the script.
